Something I always say and firmly practice on the regular… Food is my Love Language. Food is a big part of everyday life and is the center of many cultures and their traditions. Why should my life be any different? Also, I am complicated. My brother would call me a “Glu-tard” as I cannot tolerate gluten. I am also intolerant of dairy. There is an assortment of other foods that bother me like sugar as it kills my joints and stomach. Most of this is due to leaky gut but it is a reality I live everyday. THUS, I cook a lot. And I don’t do much of anything processed.
I love to cook and I love a challenge. I am also not great at following a recipe after I have made it once…I tend to adapt and alter as I go. That being said, I want to give you options when you make the things I put in a recipe so you often see adaptations with notes if you want to customize your meal. Think of it like flipping through the radio stations to find a song you like…sometimes you want something different. Baking is also a passion but those recipes aren’t always made observing my food challenges and will be noted if they are safe for me to eat or full on full of the real flours and sugars.
